In 1953, Liujiazhuang township was built. In 1958, it belonged to Chunguang commune. In 1961, Liujiazhuang commune was established. In 1984, it returned to Liujiazhuang township. As of June 2020, Liujiazhuang township has jurisdiction over 12 villages and towns, and the Township People's government is stationed in Jiazhuang village.
