Shuguang town

Shuguang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Hongwei District, Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province, is located in the East, South and north of Hongwei District, adjacent to Xiaotun town of Wensheng District in the East and Baita District in the north, with an administrative area of 89.96 square kilometers.

In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Tanghu District of Liaoyang City and Emei District of Liaoyang County; in July 1997, it belonged to Hongwei District; in February 2002, it was changed to Shuguang town. By the end of 2018, the population of Shuguang town registered residence was 30358. As of June 2020, Shuguang town has 3 communities and 13 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total revenue of Shuguang town was 362 million yuan, an increase of 36% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 136 industrial enterprises in Shuguang Town, including 12 above scale enterprises and 93 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the early days of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Tanghu District of Liaoyang City and Emei District of Liaoyang County.

In 1951, it belonged to the fifth, sixth and ninth districts of Liaoyang City.

In March 1956, the district was withdrawn to build a township, belonging to Dabai township.

In 1958, it belonged to Taizihe township.

In 1968, it belonged to Lanjia district.

In April 1978, a part of Lanjia commune in Lanjia District of Liaoyang City was set up as Shuguang commune; in May of the same year, it belonged to the suburb of Liaoyang City.

In October 1983, Shuguang commune was transformed into a township.

In June 1984, it belongs to Taizihe district.

In July 1997, it was assigned to Hongwei District.

In February 2002, it was changed to Shuguang town.

By the end of 2011, Shuguang town had 3 communities and 11 administrative villages: Zhongwang, Emei, bakeshu, Xujia, Dujia, Yangjia (Cuijia), silizhuang, shichangyu (Mengjia), dadaba, xiaodabai, nanbali (Yaole), dongsanli, Qianjin and Emei; 21 resident groups and 74 villager groups.

As of June 2020, Shuguang town has 3 communities and 13 administrative villages: Emei community, Zhongwang community, bakeshu community, Xujiatun village, dada Baihu village, Xiaoda Baihu village, Yangjia Huayuan village, shichangyu village, nanbali village, silizhuang village, Emei village, Qianjin village, Dujia village, dongsanlizhuang village, wangbaotai village and Xujia village.
