Gaotun Street

Gaotun street is a street under the jurisdiction of Liping County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It is located in the northeast of Liping County, 17 kilometers away from the county seat. It borders Jingzhou County, Hunan Province in the East, Defeng town in the south, Aoshi town in the west, Jinping County in the north. There is an airport in the territory. Lijing, Lijin and other highways run through the territory, with traffic extending in all directions. It is a famous border town in Qiandongnan Prefecture and a golden port for Liping to open to the outside world. Formerly known as Gaotun Town, it was withdrawn from the town and set up streets in February 2014.

History of construction

Gaotun Township, gutun Township, Tanxi Township and Yancun Township were established in 1953. In 1956, gudun township was merged into Gaotun township; Yancun township was merged into Tanxi township. In 1959, Gaotun township was divided into Gaotun and gutun two work areas; Tanxi township was changed into management work area; Zhonghuang township was changed into Zhonghuang work area. Gaotun people's commune, Tanxi people's Commune and Zhonghuang people's commune were established in 1961. In 1968, Gaotun, Tanxi and Zhonghuang merged into Dongfeng commune. In 1970, Gaotun commune, Tanxi commune and Zhonghuang commune were restored. Gaotun town was established in 1984, and its people's government was stationed on Gaotun street; Tanxi commune was changed into Tanxi Township, and Zhonghuang commune was changed into Zhonghuang township. In 1992, Tanxi Township and Zhonghuang Township were merged into Gaotun town. in February 2014, the town was removed and streets were set up

geographical environment

It is a hilly area with a total land area of 282 square kilometers, covering an area of 255000 mu, accounting for 60.2% of the total area. The area of cultivated land is 20484.8 mu, including 19797.1 mu of paddy field and 0.71 mu of cultivated land per capita. the territory is located in low mountains and hills with an average altitude of 430 meters. It is the settlement of Dong, Miao, Buyi and other ethnic groups, and has a profound national cultural heritage. The climate here is warm and moist, and the soil is fertile. It belongs to the humid monsoon climate zone in the middle subtropical zone. It is very suitable for the growth of crops and fruits. It is a famous main production area of grain, oil, tea and fruit in the county. The town has 20484.8 mu of arable land, with an annual output of 12190 tons of high-quality rice, 250 tons of tea, 800 tons of dry tea seeds, more than 20000 tons of fruits and 170 tons of traditional Chinese medicine. Among them, the high-quality oil Nai produced in our town has been crowded in the fruit market of Guangxi, Guangdong, Hong Kong and other provinces, showing a strong market potential; the "Guqian tea" and "ginkgo tea" produced by guihuatai tea factory are well-known at home and abroad. The wealth of products has brought economic prosperity. Gaotun and Zhonghuang markets are both century old cities, which are the distribution centers of agricultural products in surrounding towns. Gaotun cattle market is the trading center of commodity cattle in border counties of Hunan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces, with an annual trading volume of 13000 cattle.

Traffic situation

Gaotun street is the east gate of Liping County. It is the transportation fortress from Hunan Province to Guangxi and Guangdong Province. The roads from Liping to Jingzhou and Liping to Jinping cross the town in the shape of "Ren". The roads from villages and scenic spots are interwoven. The traffic in the area is very convenient. Today, Liping airport is open to traffic. By that time, the traffic will be further extended. Gaotun will be closer to cities all over the country and even the world. Liping airport, which was officially opened on November 6, 2005 and settled in Gaotun, opened up the air corridor of Dong township to the world. The construction of Airport (Hanzhai) to luoxiang Expressway and the construction of grade II tourism highway from Liping county to airport will surely bring a new look to the traffic development of Gaotun.

There are 1 junior middle school in Liping No.6 middle school, 1 Central Primary School, 13 village primary schools, 14 teaching sites, 148 primary school staff, including 137 full-time teachers, 80 junior high school staff, including 74 full-time teachers.
