Wujia Town, located in the north of Rongchang District, Chongqing, is located at the border of Sichuan and Chongqing. History of construction
In the Ming Dynasty, there was no market here, and people went to nearby Qingxi county (now Shizi Town, Dongxing District, Neijiang City) to go to the market. It is said that the surname Wu once went to Qingxi county to go to the market, but he was not allowed to go to the market again because of a dispute with the local people. The surname Wu built several shops here, so it was named "wujiapu" and later developed into a market. it belonged to Bashu in ancient times. In the 45th year of Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1566), Rongchang County set up 4 towns and 27 Li, belonging to xinqiaoli. During the period from Qianlong to Guangxu (1736-1908), Rongchang County was divided into 4 townships and 12 Li, and wujiapu belonged to xinqiaoli, BEIXIANG. In 1919, wujiachang was changed into the Town Youth League Bureau. In 1930, it was changed into Wujia Town Office, which has jurisdiction over 20 Bao. In 1935, Rongchang County set up three districts, 29 townships (towns), the Second District of Wu family, which governed Wu family, Renyi, Guansheng, Hebao, Panlong, Baohua, Tianbao, Jieshi, Fuxing and Tonggu. in the middle of December 1949, Wujia district was established and changed into a village. In 1953, Wujia Town assigned Gaoba Township the 16th and 17th villages, Yongxing Township the 10th, 11th, 12th and 3rd villages, and Wangu Township the 7th, 8th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 18th, 19th and 20th villages. Wujia Town, Gaoba Township, Wanggu Township, Yongxing Township and Wujia township are established, and Wujia Town has three residents' committees. In 1958, Yongxing township (now Qingliu town), Yufang Township and Wujia Town merged to form Wujia people's commune. In 1962, Daixing, Yongxing and Gaoba communes were established. In 1993, Rongchang County removed the district and merged the township into Wujia Town, with 18 villages under its jurisdiction. In 1996, wujiajue town was divided into three towns. In June 2001, 12 villages in Shilei Township were merged into Wujia Town, and there were 4 residents committees in 33 villages. In 2007, 33 villages were adjusted and merged into 5 villages, namely Shuangliu, Gaofeng, hanzhuqiao, Yufeng and Daixing, and 3 communities, namely yanziba, Renhe and shilie.
