Lianhua town
Lianhua Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Gongcheng Yao Autonomous County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Gongcheng Yao Autonomous County, adjacent to Zhongshan County of Hezhou City in the East, Ertang town of Pingle County in the west, Tongan town of Pingle County in the South and Ping'an town in the north, with an administrative area of 31610 hectares. In 1934, Lianhua township was established, belonging to the second district. In October 1994, Lianhua township was established as a town instead of a township. By the end of 2017, the total number of registered residence in Lianhua town was 17014, with a total population of 57760, of which 51075 were Yao, accounting for 87.22% of the total population. As of the end of 2019, 1 communities and 23 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of the township government.
In 2017, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in Lianhua town was 12060 yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 9175 yuan. The fiscal and tax revenue of the whole year was 4.716 million yuan, including 2.401 million yuan of state tax and 2.315 million yuan of local tax.
History of construction
In 1934, Lianhua township was established, belonging to the second district.
On September 1, 1958, Lianhua commune was established by merging with Dongzhai and Shijiang townships.
In the second half of 1962, it was renamed Lianhua district.
In January 1969, it was renamed Lianhua commune.
In July 1984, Lianhua township was established, with 23 Villagers' committees and one neighborhood committee; in September of the same year, it was renamed Lianhua Yao township.
In 1987, the village committee was transformed into a village office.
In 1989, there were 15 village offices, 1 neighborhood committee and 108 village committees in Lianhua Yao township.
In February 1990, it was renamed Lianhua township.
In October 1994, Lianhua township was established as a town instead of a township.
In December 1995, the village office was replaced by the village committee, and the original village committee was no longer retained.
