Chang'an Town
Chang'an town belongs to Pingli County, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the Middle East of Pingli County, bordering Zhuxi County in Hubei Province in the East, Guangfo town in the south, Chengguan town in the West and Xinglong Town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 10.6 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 21.8 kilometers, with a total area of 216.36 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Chang'an town has 15 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Changan town was 22089. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Chang'an Town reached 150 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 900 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 150 million yuan.
Historical evolution
In the Han Dynasty, there was Changli County, and in the Western Wei Dynasty, there was Ji'an County. The name of Chang'an town was derived from the name of two ancient counties, implying the meaning of "long-term stability".

In 1996, Jinshi township was merged into Chang'an township.
