Hongshi town

Hongshi Town, belonging to Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, is located in the east of Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County. It faces the Democratic People's Republic of Korea across the river in the southeast, connects Yongdian Town, shihugou Township and Bohai town in the west, and Taipingshao town and daxicha town in the North, covering an area of 442.95 square kilometers.

In 1946, HONGSHILAZI district was established; in August 1995, HONGSHILAZI town was renamed after the township was established. By the end of 2018, the population of Hongshi registered residence was 20594. As of June 2020, Hongshi town has nine administrative villages.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of Hongshi town was 26.6 million yuan. The per capita net income of farmers is 7010 yuan. In 2018, there were 50 industrial enterprises in Hongshi Town, including one above scale and 50 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Honglazi district was established in 1946.

In 1950, it was renamed District 9.

In May 1951, it was renamed the Sixth District.

In 1955, it was renamed HONGSHILAZI district.

In 1956, it was renamed HONGSHILAZI Township, belonging to Qingyi mountain area.

In 1958, HONGSHILAZI commune was established.

In 1983, it was renamed HONGSHILAZI township.

In August 1995, the township was set up and renamed Hongshi town.

Hongshi town is a hilly area. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Mountains such as shuaifuling and laohongdingzi run through the northwest continuously. Lanlanling, guandaoling, hongshila and Pandaoling rise and fall in the southeast, forming a mountainous landform of three ditches and four river branches.
