San Mao Street

Sanmao street belongs to Yangzhong City, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province. It's the city hall. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the city. Since 2000, Fengyu town has been merged into Sanmao, with an area of 49.45 square kilometers and a population of 73284. In 2005, Xinglong town was merged into Yangzhong City, with an area of 133.19 square kilometers and a population of 130000, accounting for 40% of Yangzhong City. Historical evolution

Sanmao Street office is the seat of Yangzhong municipal Party committee and municipal government. The town commune was established in 1962. In March 1967, it was led by the people's Armed Forces Department of the commune. The Revolutionary Committee was established in March 1968. The core group of the Revolutionary Committee was established in 1969 and the Party committee was reestablished in 1970. In June 1983, the town commune was changed into Sanmao sub district office, and the former commune Party committee was changed into the Committee of Sanmao sub district office of the Communist Party of China. In October 1993, the division was adjusted, the office of Sanmao Township and Sanmao sub district was canceled, and the people's Government of Sanmao sub district office was established. In March 2001, the division of districts was adjusted. The former Sanmao sub district office and Fengyu town were abolished and merged into the people's Government of Sanmao sub district office. In November 2005, the original Sanmao sub district office and Xinglong town were abolished and merged into Sanmao sub district office.
