Pine Tree Town, which belongs to Qingshui County, Tianshui, Gansu, is located in the north of Qingshui County, east of Huang Men town, South Lian Bai camel town, west of Wang River town, north of Qinan County, Longcheng city and countryside, with an area of 62.96 square kilometers, and registered residence population of 14491 people in 2018.
In 1934, pine town was established. On August 7, 1949, Songshu district was established under the jurisdiction of Qingshui County; in October, Songshu district was abolished. As of June 2020, Songshu town has jurisdiction over 3 communities and 11 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
In 1934, pine town was established.
On August 7, 1949, Songshu district was established under the jurisdiction of Qingshui County; in October, Songshu district was abolished.
In 1950, Songshu township was established under the jurisdiction of Baituo district.
On December 20, 1958, Qingshui county and Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County were merged into Qingshui Hui Autonomous County, and Songshu administrative region was established, which belongs to Dayang commune.
On December 15, 1961, Qingshui Hui Autonomous County was abolished and Qingshui county was restored. Qingshui and Zhangjiachuan counties were divided into Songshu commune according to their original jurisdiction.
In 1965, Yuanliu commune was merged into Songshu commune.
In 1983, it was changed to Songshu township.
In March 2017, the township was set up.
