Tielu Street

Tielu Street, belonging to Lintong District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the east of Lintong district. It is bounded by Tumen River in the East and connected with YangGuo Town, Linwei District, Weinan City, Xiaojin street in the south, Muzhai street in the southwest, Qingshuigou and longhegou in the West and ma'e street in the north, with a total area of 21.7 square kilometers.

The origin of place names

During the Warring States period, the state of Qin set up barracks in the territory, built furnaces to make iron, and engaged in metal smelting and weapon manufacturing.

History of construction

As early as 6000-7000 years ago, there were traces of human life in tielu. Many cultural relics of Yangshao civilization period were unearthed from dengjiazhuang site.

In the Qing Dynasty, zhuxili had jurisdiction over the natural villages of Xiaojin street and Tielu Street.

In 1934, the Baojia system was implemented and tielu town was set up.

After 1949, it belonged to ma'e management area, which was divided into tielu and South Korea.

In September 1958, it was the iron furnace District of ma'e commune.

In April 1961, tielu commune was established when the administrative division was adjusted.

In April 1984, it was changed to township.

In December 2009, the township was removed and streets were set up.

It is connected with Xiaojin street in the south, Muzhai street in the southwest, Qingshuigou and longhegou in the West and ma'e street in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 5.3 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 5.6 km, with a total area of 21.7 square kilometers. The land area is 21.6 square kilometers, accounting for 99.5%; the water area is 0.1 square kilometers, accounting for 0.5%. It is 25 kilometers away from the district government.
