Louziying town
Louziying town is located on the South Bank of the Yellow River, 10km east of Hequ County. It is connected with liujiata town in the East, xunzhen town in the south, the county town in the west, the Yellow River in the north and Longkou town of Zhungeer banner in Inner Mongolia across the river. With a total area of 56.8 square kilometers and a permanent population of 6009 (2017).
Louziying "was built in Xuande period of Ming Dynasty, and Wuzong of Ming Dynasty was stationed here." According to folklore, the village was moved here from Louzi village, Zhungeer banner, Inner Mongolia. Later, because the troops were stationed, it was named Louzi battalion. After liberation in 1940, the government was established. Land reform in 1947, then under the jurisdiction of a district, had set up louziying township. When the people's commune was established in 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Chengguan commune. In 1960, it was transferred from Chengguan commune to establish louziying commune. In 1984, it was established as a town.
Louziying town is divided into mountainous area, semi mountainous area and river area. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north, with an altitude of 1100 meters in the south. The annual average precipitation is 380 mm and the frost free period is 135 days.
Louziying town has 17 administrative villages including louziying, Hewan, niangniangtan, luoquanbao, Dayu, maliankou, liangjiaqi, gaomao, Tianwa, data, Wuyu, shangnangou, xianangou, bailuquan, Baiwa, baishutiao and Dayuling.
Louziying town has many cultural landscapes, such as Niangniang beach, Xiangshan temple, Wuyu cave, gaomao site and luoquanbao ancient city site, border ancient city wall, beacon tower, Longkou Grand Canyon of the Yellow River, etc.
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Campaign Committee reconfirmed louziying as a national health township.
Key projects
The town is an important power and Chemical Industrial Park in Hequ, with 24 industrial enterprises. The Longkou Water Control Project of the Yellow River under construction and the planned irrigation project of diverting the Yellow River are located in the town.

With convenient transportation, it is an important distribution center for goods and materials. The traditional ancient assembly on the second day of every month and the Xiangshan temple on the eighth day of April gather to meet guests and merchants. The annual turnover of business circulation reaches more than 1 million yuan. In addition, the town is also a well-known tourist attraction. There are the only island renrengniang beach on the Yellow River, the ancient temples Xiangshan temple and Wuyu cave, the gaomao site and the luoquanbao ancient city site of the Neolithic age, the ancient city wall and beacon tower unique to the ancient border, and the turbulent Longkou Grand Canyon of the Yellow River.
