Xinyuan town
Xinyuan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Huining County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Huining County, bordering Haiyuan county and Xiji County of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the East, Dagou town in the south, tumenxian town in the West and liujiazhaizi town in the north, with a total administrative area of 287.3 square kilometers.
In 1965, Laozhuang commune and Tutu commune merged into Xinyuan township. In 2016, Xinyuan Township moved from township to town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of new town was 13588. In June 2020, Xinyuan town governs one community and nine administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Xinyuan town reached 2570 yuan. In 2018, Xinyuan town has one industrial enterprise and two comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1954, Jianxiang was founded.
In 1958, it belonged to Liuzhai township.
In 1961, it belonged to Laozhuang commune.
In 1965, Laozhuang commune and Tutu commune merged into Xinyuan township.
In 2016, Xinyuan Township moved from township to town.

By the end of 2011, Xinyuan town had nine administrative villages: Xinyuan, Dongyuan, Mengyuan, Shangyuan, Heba, Laozhuang, Changping, Yangping and gancha.
In June 2020, Xinyuan town governs one community and nine administrative villages: Liujiawan community, Xinyuan village, Shangyuan village, yangjiaheba village, laozhuanghe village, changjiaping village, Yangjiaping village, mengjiayuan village, Dongyuan village and gancha village. The town people's government is stationed in Xinyuan village.

Xinyuan town is located in the hilly and gully area of the Loess Plateau in the middle of Gansu Province. The terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest, with undulating hills and gullies. The highest altitude is 240 meters and the lowest is 1760 meters.
climate
Xinyuan town has a temperate monsoon climate. The annual average precipitation is about 300 mm, and the frost free period is about 140 days.
hydrology
There are laobaozijian River and xiaobaozijian River in Xinyuan Town, which flow to Zuli River from east to west. The length of laobaozirun river is 11 km, and that of xiaobaozijian river is 10 km.
natural disaster
The main natural disasters in Xinyuan town are drought, hail, wind, low temperature, frost and so on. Drought and frost disasters occur every year, the most serious frost occurred in May 1953.

At the end of 2011, Xinyuan town had a total population of 14721, including 216 permanent residents, with an urbanization rate of 1.5%. There are 615 floating population. In the total population, there are 7749 males, accounting for 53%; 6972 females, accounting for 47%; 2240 persons under 14 years old, accounting for 15%; 11096 persons between 15 and 64 years old, accounting for 76%; 1385 persons over 65 years old, accounting for 9%. The population is Han nationality. In 2011, the birth rate was 6.3 ‰, the death rate was 3.6 ‰, and the natural growth rate was 2.7 ‰. The population density is 51 per square kilometer.

In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Xinyuan town reached 12 million yuan, an increase of 3.9% over the previous year, accounting for 52% of the GDP. The natural grassland covers an area of 161000 mu. The main food crops are potato, whole film corn and buckwheat. In 2011, the sown area of grain in the township was more than 100000 mu, including 13000 mu of summer grain and 87000 mu of autumn grain, with a total grain output of more than 5000 tons. 3000 mu of whole film corn was planted. Animal husbandry to raise sheep, cattle, pigs, chickens. Two new large-scale breeding communities and 160 new large-scale breeding households were built, with 45000 sheep, 3000 cattle, 13000 pigs and 37000 chickens raised respectively.
