Sanqu town
Sanqu Town, belonging to Jingyang County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the east of the county. It is adjacent to Tongyuan Town, Gaoling District, Xi'an City in the East, Jinggan street and Yongle Town in the south, Yunyang town and Zhongzhang town in the west, and Chengguan town of Sanyuan County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 15.2 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 7.1 kilometers, covering an area of 51.20 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Sanqu town has 17 administrative villages. As of 2018, three canal town registered residence 46759 people. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Sanqu town reached 220 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 840 million yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 270 million yuan.
Historical evolution
In the Han Dynasty, the white canal was built here, which was divided into three canals, formerly known as sanjiekou, and renamed Sanqu town in the Qing Dynasty.
Before 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Yongjia and Guangji townships.
In 1950, it was under the jurisdiction of three districts.
In 1956, the area was merged into Sanqu township.
In 1958, it was the Sanqu management area of Yongle commune.
In 1961, Sanqu commune was established.
In May 1984, it was changed into Sanqu township.
In 1998, Sanqu town was established.
