Majiadian town

Majiadian town is located in the west of the central part of Baodi District, 8 kilometers south of Baodi District. It is adjacent to Haogezhuang town in the East, xinkaikou town in the west, dakoutun town in the South and Chengguan town across Chaobai New River in the north. Located in the Beijing Tianjin Tangshan triangle, it is an important traffic road. Tianjin Jixi railway and Jinwei highway run through the north and south of the town, covering an area of 45 square kilometers. Take Jinwei highway from Tianjin to the 63rd kilometer, pass dabaiwa bridge, and it's in Majiadian town. It's not until it reaches Chaobai New River bridge that it leaves the town.

Historical evolution

After liberation, it belonged to dakoutun district (Baodi third district). In 1958, it became a commune and belonged to dakoutun commune. In 1961, the administrative planning was adjusted and the commune was established. Because the residence was in Majiadian, the commune was named Majiadian. In 1983, it was renamed Majiadian township. In 2001, it was withdrawn from the township and built into a town. On December 26, 2013, under the leadership of Baodi Party committee and government, gaojiazhuang town was replaced by Chaoxia street, Majiadian town by Chaoyang Street, koudong town by koudong street, dabaizhuang town by Dabai street, zhouliangzhuang town by Zhouliang street. Baodi District Party committee and district head presided over the unveiling ceremony of the newly established Street Party Working Committee and sub district office. After the reform, the original geographical scope remains unchanged.
