Heping Town belongs to Guiyang County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, the Zeng family of Gutang village designated a place for Li, Zhang, Zhu, Zeng and Ouyang to open a fair. At that time, it was divided into eight parts and lived in harmony with each other, so it was named "hepingwei". Now the "polder" is called "town" and "Heping Town".

Heping Town is located in the northwest of Guiyang County, facing Leiping town across the river (Chongling River) in the East, Aoquan town in the south, Ouyanghai town in the West and qiaoshi Township in the north. Evolution of organizational system

In 1949, it belonged to Heping Township, seven districts of Guiyang County. In 1956, qiaoshi township was merged into Heping township.
