Maixiu town

Mai Xiu Town, belonging to Zeku County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, is located in the eastern part of the county, and is located on the east side of Tongren County. It is adjacent to the county's duohemao Township, the West and the Zeku Town, and the town of Zhui Qu, and the north is connected with Guide County, Hainan. In 2018, the area was 1422.22 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 13019.

In 1953, Zeku County was set up by Tongren County, and maixiu Town, which originally belonged to Tongren County, was under the jurisdiction of Zeku County. In December 1955, it was called doherton District of Zeku County. In July 1962, the commune was changed into a township. In 1969, the township was changed into a commune. In 1984, it was renamed doherton Township again. In 2007, it was renamed maixiu town. As of October 2019, maixiu town has four communities and six administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 9 industrial enterprises and 1 comprehensive store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters in maixiu town.

In 1953, Zeku County was set up by Tongren County, and maixiu Town, which originally belonged to Tongren County, was under the jurisdiction of Zeku County.

In May 1958, the district was changed into commune, which was divided into doherton commune and satellite commune.

In 1959, it was merged into the dorfoton commune.

In July 1962, the commune was changed into a township.

In 1969, the township was changed into a commune.

In 1984, it was renamed doherton Township again.

In 2007, it was renamed maixiu town.

By the end of 2011, maixiu town had jurisdiction over six administrative villages, namely, Sailong, hazang, Gongqing, duolong, rourang and longzang, and 46 animal husbandry production cooperatives.

As of October 2019, maixiu town has four communities and six administrative villages. The people's government is based in dorfoton.

The main tributaries are duohemao River and duofudun River, which converge into maixiu River from north and south. Zhamao river is a tributary of Longwu River, which originates from zhamarigang mountain in maixiu town and flows from west to East It flows into Longwu River through zhamao township of Tongren County, with a flow length of 35.3 kilometers and a drainage area of 118.3 square kilometers; namuga river originates from Tuosuo mountain area of maixiu Town, with a flow length of 19 kilometers, and flows into the Yellow River through Moying River in Xigou of Guide county.
