Ningyuan Street

Ningyuan street is a county administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Hebei District, Tianjin, China. From yantuo bridge in the east to jinzhonghe street and Jianchang Street office in the south, from jinzhonghe Street underpass in the south to wangchuanchang Street office in the East, from jinzhonghe Street underpass in the west to Xinkaihe central line in the north, wanghailou Street office and Hongshunli Street office in the West; It starts from the Jingshan railway bridge of Xinkaihe River in the north and extends eastward along the central line of Xinkaihe River to yantuo bridge and Tiedong road sub district office.

Historical evolution

In the autumn of 1906, the governor of Zhili Yuan Shikai appointed Zhou Xuexi to build the plantation in order to carry out the new policy. Its original intention is to build a base for scientific research, experiment and production of industrial raw materials to provide industrial raw materials for Beiyang industrial factory in Hebei new area. In 1930, Beining Railway Bureau invested to purchase it. On the basis of the original plantation, it was rebuilt into a park by dredging springs, planting bamboo and wood, building corridors and pavilions, garden pavilions and roads and bridges. It was completed and opened in the late autumn of 1931. Zhuge Liang's idea of "peace and distance" is called "Ningyuan", which is also called "Beining Park" because it is the industry of Beining railway. After the July 7 Incident, the building in the center of the lake in the park was converted into a sanatorium for Japanese officers who invaded China. After liberation, it was once renamed "railway workers' Cultural Palace" and "Erqi Park" because it was subordinate to Tianjin Railway Bureau.

"Ningyuan" is also one of the sub district offices in Hebei District. Its four boundaries are as follows: the Northeast starts from Yuhong road and connects with Jianchang road sub district office; the southeast ends at jinzhonghe street and connects with wangchuanchang sub district office; the northwest faces Tiedong road sub district office across Xinkai River; the West is bounded by Jingshan railway and adjacent to Hongshunli and wanghailou sub district offices. Zhongshan North Road, shuishuiqian street, Zhongfang front street and jinzhonghe Street run from east to west, while Jianchang Road, yangyuchi road and wanliucun Street run from north to south.

Ningyuan follows the Chinese classical gardening method, with mountains and water stacked and pavilions scattered among them. The main landscape includes Jiuqu scenic spot, Daiyue building, Huxin Pavilion, diecuishan, changguan building, Yuanyang Pavilion, Yiran hall, etc., with auditorium, library, theater, swimming pool and other facilities. In the northeast of the park, there are animal breeding area and aquarium. In the north of the garden, there is a "Zhiyuan tower", with 9 floors and a height of 74.24 meters. The tower is equipped with spiral two-way stairs and elevators. There are more than 100 stone carvings in the tower, including the cultural relics of Yangshao, the three generations of Zhongding and even the modern Chinese culture, so that visitors can see the paintings inside and the scenery outside.
