It is adjacent to Jingdong road in the East, luting River in the west, Jichuan road in the south, and Huayan Town in the north, covering an area of 38 square kilometers. The new 328 National Road, Ningqi railway and Binxin Tongyang Canal pass through the area, with convenient land and water transportation and obvious location advantages.

Historical evolution

In January 2006, the administrative divisions of some towns and streets in Hailing District were adjusted. Dongjiao Township and Chengdong sub district office were merged to establish a new Chengdong sub district office. in March 2011, the administrative divisions of some streets in Hailing District were adjusted, and the four communities of Chengdong street, xingaoqiao, xinlianhua, Xinsheng and Zhongnan, were put under the management of Chengnan street; the social affairs of groups 1, 2 and 3 in Huayuan village of Chengdong street, located in the south of Xintongyang canal, were put under the management of Chengbei street. The old Donghe and gonghan communities of Jingtai road street were put under the management of Chengdong street.
