Shahe Town

Shahe Town is subordinate to Fanshi County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. It reaches Lingqiu in the East, Fanshi in the west, Yingxian in the north, Wutai Mountain in the south, Jingyuan railway, 108 National Highway and Linghe Expressway in the East and West. The Dashi line of Shaying and provincial highway connects the north and the south, Wutai Mountain scenic spot in the south, Hengshan Xuankong Temple and Yingxian Wooden Pagoda scenic spot in the north, and Pingxingguan red tourist line in the East. Since 2012, the whole town has carried out the project of creating health in Shahe Town, which has laid a solid foundation for the selection of Shahe Town as one of the top 100 cities and towns in China.

Relying on the core resources of Mount Wutai, the "Dazhi Jingyuan" cultural tourism area, which has been built in Beishan of Shahe Town since 2016, will be built into a "world-class Buddhist cultural Holy Land" with comprehensive functions of carrying forward, perceiving, experiencing and bathing Buddhist culture and an attractive cultural and leisure tourism destination.

Historical evolution

The shajian post, which was set up in the Ming Dynasty, was originally an important place to garrison troops.

In 1984, it was listed as the national pilot town of small town construction by the Ministry of construction.

In 1988, it was named Star Town and Yiyuan town of township enterprises by the provincial government. It is an important business distribution center in North China.
