Lefeng township was established on December 1, 1987. The district is divided into six townships: seguan, Xincun, Dengjiacun, Mingde, Xinde and Shuilu

There are two townships named Tuanjie and Guzhe in Longchang, five townships named Lefeng, Dianzi, Sanlian, Qianji and Xinyue in Shuanghe, and 14 townships named Jianwen brigade in Yinchang Township in Adu. It is named after Lefeng primary school built in 1954. In January 1988, the district was removed and the township was built.
