geographical environment
Nongfeng town is flat and low-lying in the north. Youyi canal flows through five villages: Renli, Baoan, Xinyue, Yongjiu and Xingcheng. The total area of the town is 137.6 square kilometers, with 119000 mu of cultivated land and 42000 mu of grassland. The main crops are corn, soybean, rice, flax, beet and so on. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 10.2 million yuan. In the early 1980s, it was an advanced unit of spiritual civilization in Songhuajiang region and Shuangcheng county. The town has 13 villages, including Nongfeng, Baosheng, Baoan, Baoshou, Tianmao, progressive, Shuangfeng, Shuanghong, Shuangli, Xingcheng, Yongjiu, Renli and Xinyue. Historical evolution
Nongfeng town was the third district of Shuangcheng Prefecture and Shuangcheng County in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. In the late period of the Japanese occupation of Northeast China, it was under the jurisdiction of Xingnong and Xingye villages. after the victory of the "93" Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was divided into the seventh district at the end of the same year. In December 1948, it was changed into the evolution District, and then into the seventh district. In March 1956, the township was removed from the district and Nongfeng township was set up. In September 1958, it was renamed Nongfeng people's commune. In the spring of 1984, it was changed to Nongfeng township. In August 1985, it was changed into Nongfeng town. In September 1990, it was changed into Nongfeng Manchu Xibo town.
