Tanshang town

Tanshang town is located in the southernmost tip of Daixian County, 28 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to nieying town in the East, Xingao Township in the west, Wutai County in the South and yukou Township in the north, belonging to Wutai mountain range.

Tanshang town became tanshang Township in 1953, changed to commune in 1958, and was established in 1984. In 2002, the township was withdrawn and merged with the town, and the 17 villages originally belonging to Bata Township were put under the jurisdiction of tanshang town. Historical evolution
