Attached town, belonging to Haifeng County, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southwest suburb of Haifeng County, with Haicheng Town in the north, Lian'an town in the west, Hongcao town in Shanwei City in the south, Taohe town in the southeast and Chengdong town in the northeast. It is about 10 kilometers long from east to west and 8.5 kilometers wide from north to south. The total area of the town is about 85 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, there were 66154 urban residents. As of October 2019, attached towns have jurisdiction over 4 communities and 14 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
The system of attached towns, which has a long history, began in the Song Dynasty.
In 1068, Haifeng County was divided into eight capitals: Xingxian, Jinxi, Yang'an, Shitang, Shifan, Jikang, fanglang and Longxi. The attached City is under the jurisdiction of Xingxian capital.
From the Yuan Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, the Fucheng area was still under the jurisdiction of Xingxian, Haifeng County.
In the ninth year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1731), from the eastern part of Haifeng County, the three capitals of xifanglang, Shifan and Jikang were set up in Lufeng County, and Haifeng kept the four capitals of Xingxian, Shitang, Yang'an and Jinxi, which were divided into 55 parts. Xingxian all include Shouwang, Qiling, Chenggang, Diaogong, Xiapu, Dutou, Tianxin, Lianfeng, Shitang, Chengguan and Chishan. Fu Cheng, Xianhai Town, Lian'an town and Chengdong town are all under the jurisdiction of Xingxian capital.
From 1914 to 1920, Haifeng County was divided into nine administrative districts: Haicheng District (District 1), Gongping district (District 2), Meilong district (District 3), Houmen district (District 4), Shanwei district (District 5), Chikeng district (District 6), Tianlong district (District 7), Jiesheng District (District 8) and Ketang district (District 9). A part of a district.
In 1930, the original nine administrative districts of the county were adjusted to seven districts, namely: Haicheng District, fairness District, Meilong District, Qingcao District, Shanwei District, Chikeng district and Jiesheng district. The attached City is part of a district.
After 1943, the county was divided into 35 townships. The present administrative area of the attached City belongs to Chengxia Town, Dongtian Town, Lujing Township and Youfeng township.
In April 1950, the county was divided into seven districts and one town. In September of the same year, the first District Office of Haifeng County was officially established, covering eight townships, namely Lianan, Liandong, Xiegang, Shouwang, Xinxia, xintaishan, Sanfeng and Haicheng. The attached City is part of a district.
In September 1952, Tianxin, Lianxing, Xiapu, lianbei, youchong, Lianchuan, liantian, baiting, lianai, Liannan, Xinlian and other townships were set up in the first district. The county is divided into ten districts and two towns. The newly divided district (New District 1) governs Yaqing, Lianhe, Chishan, Rongshan, Yuandun, xinbeiping, Xinshan, Xinnan, ganmen and Xiaxi. Ronggang, xindongbei, Xinan, Zhonghe, Guandong, Taidong, tinghou, beihewei, Mingdong, Xinwang, Guiwang 21 townships and Haicheng Town. The attached City is part of the new district.
In August 1953, the county was divided into 12 districts and one town. In the original area, 14 townships including Lianhe, Ronggang, Rongshan, xindongbei, Xinshan, Xinnan, Beihu, Chishan, Yaqing, Xiaxi, Taidong, Guandong, Taonan and Taobei were set up as 11 districts (Longshan District). Haicheng Town in the former district and its neighboring townships such as Mingdong, Xinan, Zhonghe, Chengbei, Shouwang and Guiwang constitute Chengguan District. The present administrative areas of the attached towns are mostly under the jurisdiction of Longshan district.
In the winter of 1957, the district was abolished and large towns were merged. The whole county was changed into 28 towns (3 towns and 25 townships). The Longshan District Office was abolished and the "Lianhe Township Committee of the Communist Party of China", "Sanxin Township Committee of the Communist Party of China", "Shouwang Township Committee of the Communist Party of China" and "Chishan Township Committee of the Communist Party of China" were established. Mingdong, Chengbei, Xinan and Zhonghe, which originally belonged to Chengguan District, were merged into the towns of entering the sea, while Xinwang and Guiwang were merged into the townships of keeping watch. The attached towns belong to Lianhe Township and Sanxin township.
On December 13, 1958, the CPC Haicheng people's commune management committee was officially established, located in shicuotang, Haicheng (now in Haicheng Town Government). The original five townships of Sanxin, Chishan, Shouwang, Lianhe and Haicheng were abolished and put under the jurisdiction of Haicheng people's commune. The commune has 12 agricultural brigades (later 18)
In 1961, the county was divided into three districts: Haicheng District, Shanwei district and Gaotan district. It has jurisdiction over one town (Shanwei town) and 28 communes (in addition to the original commune, 12 communes including Chishan, Fucheng, Lianhe, Sanxin, fishery, huangqiang, Pingdong, Xiangzhou, Fangrong, Dahe and Shouwang are added). After the cancellation of Haicheng commune, it was divided into six sub communes, Haicheng, Fucheng, Lianhe, Sanxin, Chishan and Shouwang, which were under the jurisdiction of Haicheng District Association. Fucheng commune has 11 brigades in Chengnan, Zhonghe, Chengdong, Mingshang, Mingxia, Nanmen, Nanhu, Ximen, Xiaxiang, geomagnetism and Heyuan. Lianhe commune has 17 brigades including Lianping, Lianhua, Lianhe, Ronggang, Hougang, Ronghe, Rongxi, Rongdong, shiye, daoshan, Yuanshan, Xiashan, Xinzi, Xingzhou, Hukou, Fengshan and Lianxi. Sanxin commune has nine brigades, namely Xinnan, Xinshan, chikou, Xindong, Xinbei, Beiping, Guigang, ganmen and Hulan.
In 1963, the commune was merged, and the whole county was changed into 18 communes in one town. The former Chishan commune, Shouwang commune, Lianhe commune and Fucheng commune were merged into Haicheng commune.
On June 10, 1964, the five agricultural brigades in the suburb of Haicheng Town were compressed and merged into the jurisdiction of Haicheng commune.
In January 1965, the organizational system of Haicheng Town was restored, Haicheng Town was cut off and officially separated from Haicheng people's commune. In April, Sanxin commune was abolished and put under the jurisdiction of Haicheng people's commune. In June, the original Haicheng people's commune was divided into Guiwang, Xinwang and Diaogong brigades, and the three brigades of Yinfeng, Wanzhong and Wanfu of Meilong commune formed Lianhua people's commune.
On April 3, 1964, the North brigade of Haicheng commune was under the jurisdiction of Haicheng Town. On December 6 of the same year, it was returned to Haicheng commune.
On March 23, 1967, the temporary production headquarters of Haicheng commune was established to perform the functions and powers of the Party committee and the management committee.
On April 28, 1968, the Revolutionary Committee of Haicheng commune was established to replace the leadership of the party and government.
In December 1974, eight brigades, Mingdong, Dongyuan, Dongfeng, Guandong, Chishan, Longshan, Xinjiang and Peiping, were separated from the east of Longjin River in Haicheng commune, and Chengdong commune was established.
In November 1982, the Revolutionary Committee of Haicheng people's commune was renamed the Management Committee of Haicheng people's commune.
In February 1983, the North brigade of Haicheng commune was under the jurisdiction of Haicheng Town.
In January 1984, Haicheng people's commune was changed into Haicheng District Office, which has jurisdiction over 13 townships including Chengxi, Ronggang, Zhonghe, Chengnan, Lianhe, Lianxi, Lianxing, Yuanshan, daoshan, Rongshan, Xinnan, Xinfeng and Lushan. The district office is still located in Donghu village.
On March 13, 1985, Haicheng District was abolished and entered Haicheng Town. Renamed Haicheng office. On December 10 of the same year, the office of Haicheng District Office was cancelled and the organizational system of Haicheng District Office was restored.
In January 1986, Chengxi township of Haicheng District was put under the jurisdiction of Haicheng Town.
In January 1987, Haicheng District changed its name to Fucheng District, and set up 15 villagers' committees, namely Zhonghe, Chengnan, Ronggang, Lianhe, Lianxi, Xingzhou, Hukou, Yuanshan, daoshan, Rongshan, Xinnan, chikou, Xinshan, Xindong and Xinbei. Each village committee has one director.
In February 1989, the township government moved to the north of Buxia village.
On January 1, 1990, the villagers' committee was renamed the district office, with one director and one deputy director. At the same time, Nanhu neighborhood committee was set up with one director and two deputy directors.
In January 1993, with the approval of the people's Government of Guangdong Province, the attached urban and rural areas were changed into established towns.
In March 2002, the management area of Qingnian reservoir was straightened out as Qingnian village, which was under the jurisdiction of affiliated towns.
