Yuquan Town, belonging to Qinzhou District, Tianshui, Gansu, is located in the suburbs of Qinzhou District. It is adjacent to the huoxiu town in Maiji District, and is adjacent to the town of Zao town in the East. It is linked to the town of Tai Jing and Zhongliang Township in the west, and is adjacent to Weinan town in Maiji District in 2018. After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the territory was under the jurisdiction of dongshili Township, xishili Township, Erli town and Zaojiao town. In 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Yuquan Township, shimaping Township and lu'er township. In 1961, it belonged to Chengguan commune, lu'er commune and Yuquan commune. In 1983, it was changed into Huancheng Township, lv'er Township and Yuquan Township respectively. In December 2003, Yuquan, lu'er and Huancheng were merged into Yuquan town. As of October 2019, Yuquan town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 30 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the territory was under the jurisdiction of dongshili Township, xishili Township, Erli town and Zaojiao town.

In 1958, when the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, it was incorporated into lv'ergou commune.

In 1983, it was changed into Huancheng Township, lv'er Township and Yuquan Township respectively.
