Hongling Forest Farm

Hongling forest farm is located in the northwest of Lufeng City, adjacent to southwest town in the East and North, Pingdong town of Haifeng County in the west, Hexi Town and Tanxi town in the south. It is a state-owned forest farm in Shanwei City.

Evolution of organizational system

Originally known as wumianling forest farm. It was built in March 1958, with the original design area of 60100 mu (including Jixi work area). It is planned to build a new timber forest production base. After the construction of the site, the production of medium diameter grade fir, pine, eucalyptus and other logs was mainly combined with the management of economic forest. In 1967, Jixi work area was expanded, and the business area was expanded. In 1970, it was renamed Hongling forest farm. In 1973, with the provincial approval, Hongling forest farm was divided into Jixi work area and set up Jixi forest farm. The jurisdiction of Hongling forest farm is the same as that of East Coast and Hudong forest farm. In 1973, Hongling Forest Farm forested 25600 mu, and the next year established a slash pine seed orchard of 1000 mu, including 0800 mu of clone grafting and 0200 mu of mother tree. In 1980 and 1983, 0.06 million mu of Acacia auriculata and 0.01 million mu of Acacia mangium were built respectively. By 1987, 21800 kg of clonal seeds were produced, making it a base for clonal seed production in the province. In 1994, there were 97 cadres and workers, including 8 cadres and 89 workers. There are 3 working areas under the jurisdiction of the whole site, with a business area of 32900 Mu and a forest area of 30500 mu, including 28700 mu of pine trees, and the rest of which are fir, bamboo and economic forests, with a standing stock of 45000 cubic meters. There is a pine resin factory, a wood processing plant, a car, a number of program-controlled telephone.
