Chicheng Town, belonging to Chicheng County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Chicheng County, bordering longmensuo town in the East, sampian Township in the southeast, diao'e town in the south, bangpaoliang Township in the west, Ningbao Township in the northwest and Yunzhou Township in the north. It is the resident of Chicheng County People's government, with a total area of 248.61 square kilometers.
In the second year of the Yuan Dynasty (1265), there was a post station in Chicheng district; in 1984, it was changed from Hongxing commune to Chicheng district. In September 1958, it was the Red Star commune and was assigned to Longguan county.
In May 1960, it was transferred to Chicheng County.
In 1984, red star commune was changed into Chicheng town.
