Nandajie street, belonging to Yongchuan District of Chongqing, is located in the south end of Yongchuan District. It is adjacent to Zhongshan Road Street in the East, Weixing Lake Street in the southeast, Ji'an town in the south, Laisu town in the west, Qingfeng town in the northwest and Shengli road street in the north. It is 3.6km away from the residence of Yongchuan District People's government, with an administrative area of 78.7km2.
In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), Nandajie street was divided into big Nanfu town and small Nanfu town. In September 1992, part of Yongchang Town, five administrative villages of former Danan Township and former Xiaonan Township and Changqing village of former Changqing Township merged to form Nandajie street. In 2019, there were 25671 registered residence households in South Street, 68102 registered residence and 104955 permanent residents. As of June 2020, South Street has jurisdiction over 6 communities and 7 administrative villages, and its sub district office is located at 12 Xingnan road.

History of construction
In the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930), it was divided into big south city and small South City. In 1935, it belonged to Da Nan and Xiao Nan. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the great Nanfu town was abolished and merged into Dongnan Township and Xibei Township respectively, while the small Nanfu town was merged into Dongnan township. In 1942, Jiafu township was set up in Southeast Township and Northwest Township.
In 1953, Jiafu township was divided into Danan Township and Xiaonan township.
In 1956, Baita Township and Xiaonan Township were merged into Danan township.
In 1958, Dongnan Township and Danan Township were merged into Dongnan commune.
In 1961, Xiaonan commune and Danan commune were established,
In 1983, it was changed into Danan Township and Xiaonan Township respectively.
In September 1992, part of Yongchang Town, 5 administrative villages of former Danan Township and former Xiaonan Township and Changqing village of former Changqing Township merged to form Nandajie street.

In November 2003, all areas of the original Yonglong Town, some villages and communities of cucumberhill Town, and the East Sichuan farmers' market group of Zhangjiapo community of Shengli road street were assigned to the South Street.
By the end of 2011, Nandajie street had jurisdiction over seven communities, namely, xiaoqiaozi, Luzhou street, railway station, Xingnan Road, yonglongchang, huangwenchang and Taohuadao; seven administrative villages, namely, cucumberhill, daijiadian, Danan, Xiaonan, tanjiaba, Xinglong and bajiaosi; and 87 resident groups and 226 villager groups.
