History of construction
Huangniuti township is located in the eastern mountainous area of Lucheng District, and the township government is 17 kilometers away from the city. It is adjacent to Pingshun County in the East, chengjiachuan office in the southwest, Weizi town in the West and xin'anquan town in the north. The geographical coordinates of Huangxiang government are 36 ° 18 ′ 42 ″ N and 113 ° 21 ′ 55 ″ e, covering an area of 56.613 square kilometers, accounting for 9.2% of the total area of the city. in the early days of the founding of new China, huangniuti township was the Second District of Lucheng County, and the district office was located in Weizi town. In 1953, the district was divided into several townships. In 1954, the district system was abolished, and the county people's government was directly under the jurisdiction of the Township People's government. In 1956, the township government was renamed the people's Committee. In 1958, the people's commune system of integrating administration and society was established. In 1968, it became the Revolutionary Committee. The township system was implemented in 1984. Within its jurisdiction are Yuanqi temple, a national key cultural relics protection unit, and Lizhuang Confucian temple, a provincial key cultural relics protection unit. Yuanqi temple is in the east of Xin'an village. It was built in the sixth year of Tang Tianbao (767). There are three Buddhist halls in the courtyard. They are small in scale, with glazed nine ridge roof, cornices and brackets. They are simple and elegant, with the style of Tang and Song dynasties. In the west of the hall is the great sage pagoda, commonly known as Qinglong pagoda, built in 1087, the second year of Yuanyou in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is octagonal in plane and has seven levels of body. on June 25, 2001, it was announced as the fifth batch of key cultural relics protection units by the State Council. Lizhuang Confucian temple is located on the west side of Lizhuang village. It was built in the first year of jintaihe (1201). It faces south. It is 56 meters long from north to South and 22 meters wide from east to west. There are three theatrical buildings at the south end of the central axis. Under the theatrical building is the mountain gate. There are two rooms in the East and West. At the north end, there are three Dacheng halls on the five storey steps. The front eaves are juxtaposed with four round wooden columns, which are symmetrical in front and back, square in shape. There are six rafters in depth, and the top is covered with yellow green glazed tiles and dragon shaped flowers. The whole building is of brick and wood structure. In 1986, it was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit by the provincial people's government.
