Xinji Town, belonging to Qianxi County, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Qianxi County, bordering Yinzhuang Township in the East and northeast, lianhuayuan Township in the south, Xingcheng town in the West and northwest, with an administrative area of 96.45 square kilometers.
Before the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it belonged to Qian'an County; in June 1988, Xinji township was transformed into a town; in January 1996, Xigang township was incorporated. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in new towns was 27405. As of June 2020, Xinji Town has jurisdiction over 36 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at No. 7, Fenghuang street, Xinji village.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of the new town was 9.98 million yuan. The local fiscal revenue was 3.21 million yuan, an increase of 11% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 5985 yuan. In 2018, there were 28 industrial enterprises in the new town, including 3 above scale and 67 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it belonged to Qian'an county.
In 1947, Qianxi county was the seventh district of Qianxi County.
In 1953, Xinji township was established.
In October 1958, it belonged to the Xinji brigade of Lianxing (Xinji) people's commune; in December of the same year, it was incorporated into Qian'an county and renamed Xinji management area.
In June 1961, after Qianxi county was restored, it returned to Qianxi County and established Xinji people's commune.
In 1979, due to the construction of Panjiakou Reservoir, some villagers of Taiyangyu in XICHENGYU commune moved to this site and built Fuyuan production brigade.
In March 1984, Xinji township was established.
In June 1988, Xinji township was transformed into a town.
In January 1996, Xigang township was incorporated.

The river course in Xinji Town belongs to grade IV river. The largest river in the territory is huanxiang River, which flows through Xinji village and Weizhuang village from Quanzhuang village to daigezhuang village, with a length of 5 km.
natural disaster
The main natural disasters in Xinji Town are drought, storm and snow. Snow disasters occur once a year, mainly from December to march of the next year. The most serious one occurred in Donggang Village and daigezhuang village and other areas in March 2007. The vegetable greenhouses were collapsed by heavy snow. The rainstorm occurred twice a year, mainly from May to September, and the most serious one caused poplar trees to be blown down.
