Nancun street was a palace street and a market. Since then, South Village has changed from village to town. as time goes on, Nancun Town has grown from small to large and become increasingly prosperous. There are four main streets in the market town, connecting six natural villages including Nancun, Muxi, Yuanjia, Shizi, kongziang and Beishe. The market town covers an area of 2 square kilometers. There were more than 80 industrial and commercial units in the market towns, with an average daily sales of 80000 yuan, nearly 100 times of that in the early days of the liberation. In 1983, Nancun people's commune of Jincheng city was rebuilt into a township, and Nancun Town established a town people's government. In 1984, each brigade was transformed into a villagers' committee, under which there were villagers' groups. In 1985, yedidong, yedixi and yedihou were merged into a Yedi villagers' committee.
