Taiping Town
Taiping Town, subordinate to Zhenyuan County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Zhenyuan County, adjacent to Xifeng District in the East, Shangxiao Township in the south, Linjing Township in the West and Mengba town in the north, with a total administrative area of 235.6 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, the territory belonged to leshengli, Zhenyuan County; in June 2002, three villages of Pengyang Township, liuzui, Shangcheng and Hewan, were merged, and Taiping Township was transformed into a town. By the end of 2018, the population of Taiping town registered residence was 34542. In June 2020, Taiping Town governs 13 administrative villages.

History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to leshengli, Zhenyuan County.
In 1935, a town was established.
In July 1949, the district was changed into a township.
In October 1958, it was changed into a commune.
In December 1983, the township was changed.
In June 2002, the three villages of liuzui, Shangcheng and Hewan in Pengyang Township were merged and Taiping Township was transformed into a town.
