New town
Xincheng Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Dayu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northeast of Dayu county. National Highway 323, Ganshao railway and Nanshao Expressway (G60 < sub > 11 < / sub >) pass through it. There is a new town toll station and Dayu service area in the east of Xincheng town. The area is 159.76 square kilometers, and the registered residence is about 66 thousand people (2018). It has 1 communities and 23 administrative villages (2019).
The new town is the largest and important economic town in Dayu County, and the deputy central town in Dayu county. It was announced as a key town in China, one of 28 small town construction demonstration towns in Jiangxi Province, one of the first batch of top 100 central towns in Jiangxi Province, and one of 17 municipal demonstration towns in Ganzhou City. There are wangzitan ruins, Fengshan City and so on. It is known as one of the four famous towns in southern Jiangxi.
In September 2018, new towns were selected into the list of demonstration construction of strong agricultural towns.

The new town is located in the northeast of Dayu County, adjacent to Xinfeng County in the southeast, chijiang town in the west, Zhangdou town in the northwest, and Nankang city in the northeast. It covers an area of 159.76 square kilometers.

The main resources are forest, water conservancy, silicon, tungsten and molybdenum, etc. the agricultural industry is mainly sweet corn, white duck, orange pomelo, thin skinned watermelon, etc. the per capita net income of farmers is 3900 yuan.
Agriculture
The new town has basically formed five major planting industries, including commercial vegetables, sweet corn, thin skinned watermelon, navel orange and flowers, and breeding industries, such as white duck and live pig. It has cultivated two specialized agricultural markets, such as Jingzhou melon and fruit market and wholesale and trading market of early fresh vegetables, and formed a new industrial development pattern, such as sweet corn planting base, one million white duck breeding base and melon and fruit base.
Industry
The former New Town Industrial District in the new town is located in the south of national highway 323 and the exit of new town of Ganshao expressway. The planned area is nearly 1000 mu, and enterprises in tungsten industry, food industry and other industries have settled down. In 2011, fenshui'ao village planned to build a new town industrial community with an area of nearly 3000 mu in the first phase, mainly to undertake the coastal industrial transfer.

History and culture
According to the research of unearthed cultural relics, people lived here as early as the Neolithic age. In 1516, when Wang Shouren was stationed in Dayu, Fengshan City was built. In 1723 of the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty, Guan Road was built and Bulou was built. Qianlong five years (1740) to build the wind and rain Pavilion thoroughfare, after the new city. Because of its history, culture and economy, it is well-known in Gannan, and also known as one of the four famous towns in Gannan. Dayu is located in the south of Jiangxi Province, but the north of it is far away from Hunan Province. The situation of Dayu is very dangerous. It is a must for ancient military strategists. It is known as the "South Gate" of Jiangxi Province. Xincheng is the east gate of Dayu, with open terrain, rich products and more important geographical position. During the Anti Japanese War, the town once became a garrison for military supplies and became a military area. The town is also one of the old revolutionary bases with glorious revolutionary tradition. Seven villages in Hejiang, Dongkeng, baitianbu, Shuinan, Nanfeng and Qiaoxi are old revolutionary bases. Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Peng Dehuai, Chen Yi and other revolutionaries of the older generation left revolutionary footprints here. In 1931, the first rural branch of the Communist Party of China in Dayu county was established.
