Old town
The old town, a town under the jurisdiction of Heshui County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Heshui County, connecting haozuipu Township in the East, Banqiao Township in the south, Haoxiang Township in Huachi County and Nanzhuang Township in Qingcheng County in the west, Linzhen Township and dinghansi Township in Huachi County in the north, with a total administrative area of 274.81 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the first class of donghuachili in Heshui County; in March 1985, it was changed into an old town. In May 2003, Xiaoyuanzi village of Yangping Township and Liugou township was merged into the old town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in old towns was 11489. In June 2020, the old town will have jurisdiction over one community, eight administrative villages and one village level unit.
In 2019, the income from transfer payment and county-level appropriation of old towns will reach 7.9228 million yuan, accounting for 94.1% of the total budget income of 8.418 million yuan, an increase of 198800 yuan or 2.57% over the same period of last year. The sown area of crops is 31156.8 mu, the total output of grain crops is 7115.97 tons, 2650 people (Times) are organized to transfer labor, and the labor income is more than 42 million yuan.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the first class of donghuachi in Heshui county.
In 1912, it was the first district of Heshui county.
When Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia border region was established, it belonged to Chengguan District of Heshui county.
In April 1947, Chengguan town was occupied by the Kuomintang.
In July 1949, Chengguan District was changed.
In March 1957, Chengguan Township was changed.
In October 1958, it was changed into Dongfeng commune; at the end of the same year, it belonged to Qingyang County.
In December 1961, it was restored to Heshui county and renamed Chengguan commune.
In April 1983, Chengguan Township was changed.
In March 1985, it was changed into an old town.
In May 2003, Xiaoyuanzi village of Yangping Township and Liugou township was merged into the old town.

By the end of 2011, the old town had one community and eight administrative villages: Dongguan, Shuigou, Mujiagou, Miaozhuang, Zhaoyuan, Siyuan, Xiaoyuanzi and Yangping, and 46 villager groups.

The old town was originally called Chengguan, also known as the old Heshui City, which was named after the ancient county government.
