Human history

According to historical records, 4000 years ago, jingman people lived and multiplied here. The arrow cave in Mount Yushan was said to be Houyi's shooting at the sun, with an arrow through it. Bronze ware originated from the Western Zhou Dynasty, and was unearthed in Dagang Yandun mountain in 1954, which confirmed Zhenjiang's three thousand year civilization. This is the ancient battlefield of military strategists. Han Shizhong of the Southern Song Dynasty set up camp here to fight against the Jin soldiers, and the first artillery of Zhenjiang defense war was launched in Dagang mountain during the Opium War. Zhao Sheng, general of the Republic of China and commander-in-chief of Guangzhou Huanghuagang uprising in 1911, was born and grew up in this area.
