Halajun Township, which is located in the northeast of Atushi City, is subordinate to Atushi City, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is connected with Bachu county and gaizilik Township in Kashi region in the East, Gedaliang Township and Jiuxiang of Jiashi County in Kashi region in the south, tugumati Township in the West, halabrak Township, halaqi Township and Kyrgyzstan in the north The Republic is the boundary. The administrative area is 8573.88 square kilometers.

History of construction
Halajun Township originally belonged to Jiashi county.
In May 1952, it was transferred to Atushi county.
In 1953, seven districts and three townships were established.
In 1958, Halajun Township commune was rebuilt, and the original three townships were changed into three administrative areas, with 13 brigades under its jurisdiction.
In 1957, the second management area was established.
On October 9, 1961, Halajun commune was divided into Halajun commune, tugumeti commune and kiziltao commune.
On June 19, 1965, Halajun commune and kiziltao commune merged into Halajun commune, which had eight brigades under its jurisdiction.
In 1962, the first and second ranches were built.
In March 1967, it was renamed fangxiu commune.
In October 1984, the society was withdrawn to build the township and Halajun township was established.

The highest peak in the territory is located in Tashkent nengbei peak, with an altitude of 4562 meters; the lowest is 1550 meters above sea level.
