Liqiao Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shunyi District, Beijing, is located between 116 ° 36 ′ 30 ″ ~ 116 ° 46 ′ 14 ″ E and 40 ° 00 ″ 26 ″ ~ 40 ° 05 ′ 03 ″ n. In the early years of the Republic of China, Liqiao area belonged to the Fourth District of Shunyi County. In April 1949, the area to the east of the railway belonged to the Fifth District of Shunyi County, and some villages to the west of the railway belonged to the Tenth District of Shunyi County. In August 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was set up, with Lijiaqiao as the Central Township. In August 1958, the Township Reform commune was established. In 1961, 21 production brigades were set up to establish Yanhe people's commune. In 1966, Yanhe people's commune was incorporated into Lijiaqiao people's commune. In the early summer of 1975, Yanhe people's commune was re established, and Lijiaqiao people's commune was reduced to 12 production teams. In August 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In November 1989, Lijiaqiao town was changed into Lijiaqiao town. In April 1998, Yanhe township was merged into Liqiao town. By the end of 2018, there were 41774 registered residence in Li Qiao town. As of October 2019, Liqiao town has 4 communities and 31 administrative villages, and the town government is located in Erying village, Longtang road.

In 2011, the total industrial output value of Liqiao town reached 7.76 billion yuan, an increase of 44.8% over the previous year, and the industrial added value was 1.1 billion yuan, accounting for 51.1% of the GDP. History of construction
