Xiahefu Township
Yecheng County in Kashgar Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region governs Township, xiahepu village, tugmanbeixi village, yingbage village, Yingya village, dawugan village and other 18 administrative villages. The people's government is stationed in Yingya village.
It is located in the northwest of Yecheng County in Kashgar region, facing wujireke Township and qiarbage town in the northeast across tiznafu River, adjacent to yilikqi Township in the South and West, and tuhuqi Township in Zepu County in the north, 18 km away from Yecheng county.
Located in the alluvial fan plain of tiznapu River, it has a temperate continental climate.
The township covers an area of 64 square kilometers.
The township is mainly composed of Uygur, Han, Tajik, Hui, Dongxiang and other ethnic groups.
In January 2021, the total population of the township was 22495.
On July 24, 2019, xiahefu township was selected into the list of national strong agricultural towns in 2019.
History of construction
Before 1949, it belonged to kumushkan village, five districts, Jianpu Township and Yantai township.
In May 1950, it belonged to five districts.
In December 1958, it belonged to the fifth commune.
On July 3, 1968, the fifth commune was renamed Weidong commune.
In April 1972, Xia Hepu commune was established by Weidong commune.
In June 1984, xiahefu commune was changed into xiahefu township.
In 2011, xiahefu village governs 17 administrative villages, including Yingya, xiahefu, tugmanbeixi, yingbage, dawugan, Bostan kumush, togelis, langanbage, buweibulak, Ganqi, towantokai, tograk, yukaktokai, qiwa, arelebag, otakeqi and Mazha, with 76 villager groups.
