Kengtian town

Kengtian Town, subordinate to Yongfeng County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of Yongfeng County, with Xiajiang County in the north, Badu town of Jishui County in the west, and Xiangtan and Zuolong Township in the southeast. The town covers an area of 139.21 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, 95 natural villages and 111 villager groups. In late 2018, 21 thousand and 300 people registered residence in Keng Tian town.

The grain planting area of kengtian town is 30400 mu, and the planting area of high-quality rice accounts for more than 90%. The rice yield per unit area reaches 5654 kg / ha. Historical evolution

In 1950, it belonged to Xiaping Township, Zhoutou Township and Lingxi township; in 1956, Xiaping Township, Zhoutou Township and Lingxi Township were merged into kengtian township; in 1958, kengtian township was changed into kengtian commune; in 1984, kengtian commune was renamed kengtian township; in 2001, kengtian township was abolished and kengtian town was established.

History and culture

From June 1948 to July 1949, the Jiangxi Provincial Working Committee of the Communist Party of China was stationed in Yangling in the north of the town, and established the Zhoutou branch of the Communist Party of China, the first underground party organization in Jiangxi during the liberation war, in Yuzhou village, Zhoutou. During the great revolution, a group of generals such as major general Zhou Xing and a group of martyrs such as Liu Shilin came out.
