Confucian Temple Street, belonging to Changyi District, Jilin City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Changyi District, on the North Bank of Songhua River, bordering dongjuzi and xindihao streets in the East, Songjiang East Road in the south, Jilin Street in the west, Chongqing Street in the north, and Zhanqian street in the north, with a total area of 1.9 square kilometers.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Confucian Temple Street was the center of "commercial port land"; in 1979, Confucian Temple Street was set up from Dongshichang street. In 2011, the total population of Wenmiao street was 28759. As of June 2020, Confucian Temple Street has jurisdiction over two communities: Tiansheng community and Yanqing community, and the sub district office is located at No. 9 of Tiansheng Hutong.

History of construction

At the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to three provinces. In 1948, Wenmiao street was set up.
In 1949, the street (government) Office (Public Security) merged and implemented the police administration.
In 1950, it was changed into Confucian Temple Street.
In 1964, Confucian temple and yichunli street were merged into Dongshichang street.

There is a national key cultural relic protection unit in Confucian Temple Street: Jilin Confucian Temple Museum. Jilin Confucian Temple Museum was listed in the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council of the people's Republic of China on May 25, 2006.
Jilin Confucian temple is a group of classical buildings. Its buildings imitate the imperial palace. It covers an area of 16354 square meters, 74 meters wide from east to west and 221 meters long from north to south. There are 64 halls with verandas. Three main buildings, Dacheng gate, Dacheng hall and Chongsheng hall, are located on a central axis. The auxiliary buildings on both sides are arranged symmetrically, surrounded by 3-meter-high red walls. In front of the main gate is a 40 meter long and 5-meter-high screen wall. The order of entering the main gate is Zhuangyuan bridge, Lingxing gate, Dacheng gate, Dacheng hall and Chongsheng hall. Dacheng gate, Dacheng hall and Chongsheng hall are three main buildings, which constitute the courtyard.
