Azak Township
Azak Township, under the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture Atushi City, is located in the southwest of Atushi City, adjacent to songtak Township in the East, boshkranmu Township in Kashi City in the south, upper Atushi Township in the West and AHU Township in the north, with an administrative area of 282 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 47546. As of October 2019, azak township has jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of azak township was 29.16 million yuan, an increase of 21.4% over the previous year. The per capita financial income is 732.6 yuan. In 2018, there were 12 industrial enterprises in azak township.
History of construction
Before 1938, it belonged to Atushi village in Jiashi county.
In 1938, Atushi village was transferred to Atushi to set up the Administration Bureau.
In 1948, it was divided into two townships, Xinyi and Heping.
In 1950, it belonged to the third district.
In September 1958, the two townships were merged and transformed into Xianfeng (azak) commune.
In April 1962, it was renamed buyamat commune after expansion.
In June 1965, the azak commune was incorporated.
In 1967, it was renamed azak commune.
In 1980, azak commune was restored.
In October 1984, the commune was withdrawn and the township was built.
