Qianshan Kazak nationality township, belonging to Yiwu County, Hami City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Yiwu County, adjacent to Yanchi ranch in the East, Hami City in the south, Yiwu army horse farm in the West and Naomaohu Township in the north. The area is 1681.6 square kilometers. In 2018, 2743 people registered residence.

In 1935, Yiwu set up one of the six administrative villages under the Bureau. In 1950, it was the former mountainous area. In 1954, the district was withdrawn to township. In 1958, Dongfanghong (Qianshan) commune was established. In 1962, it was approved by the people's Government of the autonomous region. In April 1969, the local state-owned Qianshan ranch Revolutionary Committee was established. In October 1984, Qianshan Township People's government was established. On April 8, 1985, it was changed into Qianshan Kazak township. As of October 2019, Qianshan Kazakh ethnic village has jurisdiction over four administrative villages.

In 2018, Qianshan Kazak nationality township has four comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution
