Historical evolution

In 1944, it was called hongshanmen, which was under the jurisdiction of Hedong Township, the third district.
In April 1950, kekejiayi village, Tonggai village and hongshankou village were under the jurisdiction of kalashe Township, Hedong District.
In 1956, kekejiayi village and hongshankou village were under the jurisdiction of three districts; Tonggou village was designated as a pastoral Township, a township directly under the county.
In September 1958, the town was divided into five groups (aigri), six groups (kujiayi) and seven groups (Tonggou, also known as animal husbandry Group) of Xianfeng commune.

In 1984, kujiayi town was established by separating keerjiayi group, aigemen group and Tonggou group of Xianfeng commune.
In 1985, it was changed to kerjian town.
