Taiyangliang Township, with a total area of 47.46 square kilometers, formerly known as taiyangliang ecological resettlement area of agricultural reclamation group. The organization establishment of Zhongning county is based on the regional characteristics, population scale, economic development level, industrial characteristics and other factors of taiyangliang township. Within the organization quota stipulated by the autonomous region, the organization shall be set up according to local conditions. The personnel establishment shall be determined by Zhongwei City, Zhongning County, Guyuan City and relevant counties (districts) through consultation, and then submitted for approval according to the relevant regulations and authority of organization establishment management.

The administrative system of taiyangliang township was set up in the former taiyangliang ecological resettlement area of agricultural reclamation group, and the township government was set up in the former Qukou taiyangliang ecological resettlement management committee.

In February 2017, taiyangliang township was established. On November 16, 2017, taiyangliang township of Zhongning county was officially established.

Evolution of organizational system

In May 2005, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Agricultural Reclamation group set up taiyangliang resettlement management committee within the division of Qukou farm, covering an area of 47.46 square kilometers. As of May 2005, a total of 21155 people from 4882 households have been resettled in taiyangliang resettlement area.

In July 2016, the taiyangliang resettlement area was officially transferred to Zhongning County for management. After setting up the township system, taiyangliang township will strengthen the social management of ecological migration and effectively promote the poverty alleviation work.

On February 8, 2017, after deliberation and approval by the executive meeting of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region government, taiyangliang resettlement area of Zhongning County, Zhongwei city set up township system and management organization, and set up "taiyangliang township".

On November 16, 2017, taiyangliang township of Zhongning county was officially established.
