Xiamaguan town is located in the eastern edge of Tongxin County in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, adjacent to nine towns in three counties. The total area of Xiamaguan town is 667 square kilometers, 23 kilometers wide from east to west and 50 kilometers long from north to south. It has jurisdiction over 21 administrative villages with a total population of 50427 (2017).
