Xiangride Town, Dulan County, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the middle of Dulan county. It is connected with Xiangjia Township in the southeast and northeast, Balong Township in the West and Zongjia town in the north. The administrative area is 824 square kilometers.

History of construction

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was an important post station for Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia to enter Tibet.

During the period of the Republic of China, there was once an administration bureau of Xiang RI De.

In 1950, Xiangride district was established.

In 1955, after the establishment of Xiang RI de Township, it was still under the jurisdiction of Xiang RI de district.

In 1956, Xiangride town was set up.

In 1959, the satellite commune was established.

In July 1962, Xiangride district and Xiangride commune were established. In November of the same year, Xiangri de commune was renamed Xiangri de township.

In 1968, Xiangride township was renamed Xiangride commune. It has eight production teams, namely shangchaikai, xiachaikai, chaiyuan, Tuohai, Zhongzhuang, chahanmao, Xinyuan and Hedong.

In 1984, it was renamed Xiang RI de Township, and eight villagers' committees were established on the basis of the original brigade.

In 1985, Xiang RI de Township and Xiang RI de District merged to form Xiang RI de town.

In 1990, it had 12 villager committees: shangchaikai, xiachaikai, shangchaiyuan, xiachaiyuan, Tuohai, Zhongzhuang, chahanmao, Xinyuan, Hedong, Xinhua, Desheng and chaixing.
