Zhongtie Township, subordinate to Xinghai County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the southeast of Xinghai County. It faces Tongde County across the river in the East, Maqin County of Guoluo Prefecture in the south, longzang Township in the West and qushi'an town in the north. In 2018, the area of China Railway township was 873.32 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 7423.

Historical evolution
According to historical records, in the Sui Dynasty, Xihai and Heyuan counties (now Xinghai and Chishui County of Tongde) were set up to open up wasteland. At the beginning of liberation, tietie township was still a tribal system.
In 1953, it was established as the fourth administrative region.
