Daba Township
Daba township is under the jurisdiction of Zada County, Ali Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. Located at 79 ° 55 ′ E and 31 ° 13 ′ n, it is located in the southeast of Zada county. It is adjacent to Pulan County in the East, India in the South and the Himalayan snow peak line in the south, Tuolin Town, the resident of the people's Government of Zada County in the West, and Mengshi township of Gar County in the north. The border line is 75 kilometers long and there are three passes through the outer mountain. The township covers an area of 6787.36 square kilometers. The Township People's government, township party committee and villagers are stationed in Daba village.

Daba township is located in the southeast of Zada County, in the southeast of the urban area of Zada County, 96 kilometers away from the urban area of Zada county. It is adjacent to Tuolin Town, where the people's Government of Zada county is located, in the west, Mengshi Township, Gar County in the north, Pulan County in the East, and India in the south, bounded by the snow peak line of Himalayas. The traditional custom line of this section of boundary starts from mana pass, goes southeast through kamet mountain, along the watershed on the North Bank of the nameless River to kabasha, goes southeast through Mazola, gumala pass, Lasar pass, etc. about 20 km south of NiTi pass, and reaches Uzala in the southwest of Kunli Binli pass through the south of wuzhala canal (wurequ). Starting from uzara, the border is along the watershed of Xiangquan River (langqinzangbo) tributary and mapuchu River, rudder Buqu River and lanchengqu River on one side, and jiliganga River and mahakali River on the other side. It is about 75 km long.

The total land area of the township is 6787.36 square kilometers, of which the grassland area is 10.0382 million mu, accounting for 68.9% of the total land area, and the usable grassland area is 8.4735 million mu, accounting for 84.4% of the grassland area.
Evolution of organizational system
Daba Township historically belonged to the Daba sect in Tibet, China. In April 1961, Daba district was established in Zada county. In 1996, Daba District governed three townships. Among them, Daba Township governs 1, 2 and 3 administrative villages; Dongbo Township governs 1, 2 and 3 administrative villages; qionglong Township governs 1, 2, 3 and 4 administrative villages. Daba Township belongs to Daba district. In 1999, the District of Zada county was merged with the township, and the Daba district was abolished. The former administrative regions of Daba Township, Dongbo Township and qionglong Township were merged into Daba Township, and the county was directly under the central government.

Population data
In 1996, there were about 0900 permanent residents in Daba township. In 2000, there were 1052 permanent residents in Daba township (Wupu). In 2006, there were 1187 permanent residents in Daba Township, including 584 males and 603 females. in 2010, there were 1241 permanent residents in Daba township (Liupu). 1418 permanent residents (2017).
Southern territory
The south of Daba Township and India are bounded by the Himalayan snow peak line, which has long been respected and recognized by the two peoples in history. The border people on both sides of the traditional custom line have lived in harmony for generations, forming traditional friendly exchanges in trade, religion, visiting relatives and friends. However, after independence, India inherited the mantle of British imperialism and gradually eroded Daba territory. In June 1954, India sent armed personnel to occupy ranchong and Wure areas in yuegumala pass; in July 1956, Indian troops invaded shanza, jubilee and labudi areas. In spite of China's opposition and protest, it occupied and controlled Daba Township, forming a 65 km long and 885 square km disputed area. The actual control line was pushed northward to the NiTi pass, dongjingla pass and the upper reaches of wurequ and xiangzhaqu.
