Garang Township
Garang Township, subordinate to guide County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the northeast of Guide county. It is bounded by Zhizha Tibetan township of Hualong County in the East, across the river from Hedong Township and Wanli township of Jianzha County in the south, adjacent to Hexi Town and Laxiwa town in the West, adjacent to Laji mountain and Qingyang mountain in the north, adjacent to Huangzhong County and Huangyuan County, 40 kilometers away from Guide county and 71 kilometers away from Xining 598.89 square kilometers.
In the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937), xiaguomi District of Gonghe County was assigned to guide county and set up as Garang township. In 1984, Garang commune was changed into Garang township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of GA rang township was 14900. In 2019, 23 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of Garang countryside, and the people's government will be stationed in Garang natural village.
In 2018, there were 6 industrial enterprises and 48 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Garang township.
History of construction
In the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937), xiaguomi District of Gonghe County was assigned to guide county and set up as Garang township.
In 1944, there were five districts.
In 1956, after the district was withdrawn, it was divided into Garang and yizhashi townships.
In 1961, it was divided into Garang, yizhashi and jiangla communes.
In 1965, the three communes merged into Garang commune.
In 1984, Garang commune was changed into Garang township.
