Galeng Tibetan Township
Galeng Tibetan Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Xunhua Salar Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the southwest corner of Xunhua Salar Autonomous County, with Wendu Township in the East, Gangcha Township in the south, Jianzha county and Hualong County in the west, and chakhandus Township in the north. The administrative area is 184.71 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of GA Lun Tibetan township was 5311. As of October 2019, there are 11 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of galeng Tibetan countryside.
In 2011, the gross agricultural output value of galeng Tibetan township was 28.756 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 4248 yuan.
History of construction
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of angsuo and guleng.
In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it belongs to the first district, which governs three townships of galeng, Bitang and qubuzang.
In 1938, it was changed into galeng township.
In November 1949, it belonged to the third district.
In the summer of 1950, Tuanjie Township was established.
On January 19, 1954, it was under the jurisdiction of Wendu Tibetan Autonomous Region.
In August 1956, it merged with Tuanjie Township and was called galeng Tibetan township.
In July 1958, Bitang and gulenggou villages were merged into Lianhe Township, and qubuzanggou village was merged into Tuanjie Township; on September 1 of the same year, Hongqi commune was merged and established.
In September 1961, the red flag commune was abolished and the guleng commune and Jianshe Tang commune were established.
In April 196, the two communes merged to form guleng commune, which was renamed Jianshe commune on October 3 of the same year.
On June 4, 1970, it was renamed galeng commune.
In June 1984, it was changed into a Tibetan township of galeng.

At the end of 2011, galeng Tibetan countryside had jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages: Luowa, Xiangsha, Maga, Yaga, walong, Bitang, Jianshe Tang, qubu Zang, Xiuri, Renwu village and zongzhan.

Galeng Tibetan township is located in a remote mountainous area with overlapping mountains and deep gullies. The terrain is high in the East and low in the west, high in the South and low in the north. The main mountains in galeng Tibetan township are zedi, Nanxiong, Gumu and anixiawu, with an average altitude of about 3200. The lowest point is Zongwu village, located on the Bank of the Yellow River, with an altitude of about 2100.

The main natural disasters in galeng Tibetan township are landslide, flood caused by rainstorm, debris flow and so on. On September 6, 2006, a serious landslide occurred in Dongsi ancient community of qubuzang village. In September 2009, qubuzang gully was hit by debris flow due to heavy rainfall, and farmland facilities and traffic roads were seriously damaged.
