Bian'er Township

Bianer township is located in Danba County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, adjacent to Dandong Township and geshiza township. Bianer township is under the jurisdiction of Danba County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It used to belong to the territory of Dandong chieftain. Bianer township is located in the northwest of the county, 48 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Dandong Township in the north, Daofu County in the West and southwest, Badi Township and Bawang Township in the East, and geshizha Township in the southeast. The township government is located in the capital of remu, with an area of 837 square kilometers and a population of 2625 (2017). The road is open. More than 80% of the population of the township lives in the semi alpine and alpine areas.

On December 23, 2019, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, it is agreed to abolish Dandong Township and Bianer Township and establish Dandong Town, with the former administrative region of Dandong Township and Bianer township as the administrative region of Dandong town.

Historical evolution

Bian'er Township mainly produces wheat and highland barley. Cattle and sheep are the main animal husbandry. There are a large area of forest resources and mica ore with large reserves and good texture.

The huge vertical elevation difference forms the deep valley and the high mountain canyon landscape. The unique geological, geomorphic and climatic conditions make dangling scenic area still preserve the original state of the natural ecosystem, preserving a large number of rare animals, plants, insects and other living fossils that have disappeared in most areas since the Quaternary (2.5 million years ago), becoming a very important geological history museum and species gene bank in the world. At the same time, it is also one of the most representative regions in the global biogeographical region, which has extremely important protection value and scientific research value. The special geology, landforms and various rich natural resources of dangling scenic area attracted the attention of zoologists and explorers as early as 1940s. dangling snow mountain is the northern part of Hengduan Mountain and Daxue mountain. The whole dangling snow mountain inclines from northwest to Southeast in a north-south direction. The main peak, xiaqiangla (Tibetan meaning beauty fairy mountain), is 5470 meters above sea level. There are 28 snow peaks with an altitude of more than 5000 meters around, forming a magnificent scenery surrounded by peaks and connected with snow mountains. The holy and beautiful Shenxian mountain is regarded as a holy mountain by the local Tibetan people. There are an endless stream of visitors, and it has become a holy land for religious people in Tibetan areas.

The origin of the name

The place name of dangling mountain is said to be in the early Tang Dynasty. In ancient times, a group of people from Dangxiang Qiang people moved to live here, and named Daxue mountain in the south of the village dangling mountain. Dangling snow mountain is also the highest snow mountain that the Red Army climbed during the long march. So far, many well preserved Red Army stone slogans have been left at the foot and on the mountain of dangling.

The two hot springs are located about 4 kilometers south of dangling village. The hot spring water is continuous all year round, with the maximum flow of more than 3000 tons day and night. The highest water outlet temperature of the spring can reach 75 ℃. In dangling scenic area, there are more than 30 smoky alpine lakes, such as huluhai, zhuoyongcuo, Matsuo, siane, ayoumucuo, and so on. They are inlaid in the valley like five color mirrors. These alpine lakes, which are called Haizi by the local people, are moraine dammed lakes and ice bucket lakes formed by the retreat of Quaternary ancient glaciers. Huluhai, located 5 km upstream of the Keluke River in dangling scenic area, is the most accessible and ornamental Lake in dangling scenic area. The water of the lake is clear, and the scaleless fish swim in the lake. The rare animals such as Swertia, argali and takin often come to the lake to drink water.
